So this is bigger than anything I've ever drawn before, and I spent a whopping 9 days on this! The total file size is around 319mb for the SAI file. Freaking awesome.

I actually had to draw them in a separate file and compress them to one layer then add them to the background.

I think I pushed my bag of tricks and filters to the limit on this one, and I learned a lot about painting backgrounds, too. _{I think.}

And yes, that ice field is gonna appear down the line.
